Anime at Animex
===============

The Animex International Festival of Animation is held every year in
Middlesborough, but previous festival have not has much of interest to
anime fans. The next festival, due to be held from 27th to 31st January
next year, is set to change this with an anime film program showing
throughout the week of the festival. There are no details yet of which
films will be shown, but you can register for updates on the festival
website at http://www.animex.net.

'Quintuplets' acquired by Fox Kids
=================================

From a recent Fox Kids press release:

  "FKE has acquired 50x22-minute episodes of the 'Japanimation' series
   Quintuplets from Tokyo Broadcasting Systems Inc. The agreement grants
   FKE free-TV distribution rights worldwide (excluding North America
   and Asia) and pay-TV rights for Europe and Latin America, as well as
   extensive home video, online and merchandising rights."

There is no other information provided on 'Quintuplets', but there is an
obscure series know as 'Go Go Itsutsugo Land' in Japan that fits the
description.

Christmas Approaches...
=======================

...and this year all of the UK anime companies are stearing clear of the
Christmas market. This has resulted in a very sparse release schedule, and
not much for me to report, so these bulletins are getting less frequent
and will remain sparse for the rest of the year. Normal service will be
hopefully be resumed in the new year.
