It includes several exclusive all-UK TV premieres of anime and live-action series that complement the channel's existing line-up. The new series of the battling robots super-show Medabots, acquired from Nelvana International, launches on Fox Kids UK on September 2, 2002. The show is set in a technologically advanced future where every child owns a high-performance pet robot endowed with artificial intelligence. The first series launched in February 2002 and is currently one of Fox Kids top- rating shows. The line-up of new series for the fourth quarter of 2002 also include: Shin Chan Series 2, the top-rating 'Japanimation' series acquired from TV Asahi featuring the humorous antics of a cheeky young boy (UK-TV premiere). Pig City, produced by Cinegroupe, is an animated comedy featuring the adventures of Mikey, a country bumpkin pig who moves to the big city (UK-TV premiere). Power Rangers Wild Force, from Saban International, features the latest incarnation of the lycra-clad intergalactic time-travelling crime-fighters (UK-TV premiere). Ian Finnegan, Managing Director, Fox Kids UK, says: "'Japanimation' programming is a core feature of the schedule and the new shows launching in September join established anime favourites on the channel such as Digimon and Flint the Time Detective. We are confident that the new additions to the schedule such as Pig City, with its irreverent humour, and the new series of the ever-popular Power Rangers will prove a big hit with kids this Autumn." =========================================================================== Current UK anime release schedule ================================= All of the following dates are subject to change.
