Animecon UK is being held from 5th-7th October at the Adelphi Hotel, Liverpool. Pre- registration for the convention has now closed, but anyone still wishing to attend can register at the event. The recent tragic events in New York have lead to convention guest Gilles Poitras cancelling his appearance, but the convention is otherwise going ahead as planned. For further details see the convention website at http://www.animecon.org.uk --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ADV Films News ============== I had a chat with ADV Films' UK representative a few days ago, and he let me in on their release schedule for the next few months. See below for details. The main thing to note is that there are no VHS releases listed after October. This does not necessarily mean that there will be no more tapes in the future, but only the DVD releases are listed at present. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- MVM News ======== A few more details of the VHS release of Sailor Moon have emerged. The episodes that will be on each of the first three volumes are: Volume 1: 'A Moon Star is Born' and 'Talk Radio' Volume 2: 'Slim City’ and 'So You Want To Be A Superstar' Volume 3: 'Computer School Blues' and 'Time Bomb' Each volume will be certificate U and retail for £9.99.
