Princess Mononoke to get UK release
===================================

Excitement gripped the fan community this week when it was discovered that
the BBFC website is now listing a release certificate for 'PRINCESS
MONONOKE - DVD BONUS COMPILATION' which has been granted to 'Buena Vista
Home Entertainment'. 

I spoke with a representative of Buena Vista today who confirmed that a UK
release for Princess Mononoke was planned, but details of the release have
yet to be decided.

Princess Mononoke is an anime file  produced in 1997 by Studio Ghibli and
directed by popular director Hayao Miyazaki. It was released theatrically
in the US by Miramax in 1999 in the US, but there has been no sign of a UK
release until now. For more information on the film, check out the official

Minamicon 8 date set

There are no other details as yet, but the latest issue of the London
Anime Club newsletter has revealed that the dates of the eighth Minami
anime convention will be 1st-3rd March 2002.
