Battle of the Planets is the programme that spawned Japanese anime as we know it today and it was the first series to feature five 'superheroes' pitting their collective powers and wits against the enemy. Battle of the Planets follows the heroic escapades of a team of fearless young orphans, who have been given the unenviable task of protecting earth and their entire galaxy from invaders. This group of elite individuals are Princess, Tiny, Keyop, Mark and Jason - together they for G-FORCE!...... and who could possibly forget their computerised coordinator 7-Zark-7 watching over them from Centre Neptune?! G-FORCE must continually thwart the attempts of Zoltar and the dreaded Spectra, as he attempts to take over Earth and other planets with a succession of increasingly elaborate weapons and machines. This would be impossible without the aid of their incredible spacecraft The Pheonix, which has the ability to 'trasmute' into The Fiery Pheonix in times of danger. Have the memories come flooding back? Mollin Video have aquired the rights to the complete series of 85 episodes and are proud to present the first VHS release on 4th December. DVD releases are planned for the new year. Battle of the Planets is currently being broadcast on Bravo TV in the UK and our sister company, Mollin Licensing are exploring licensing opportunities. =========================================================================== Current UK anime release schedule ================================= All of the following dates are subject to change.
