News from Ayanext

Last weekend saw UK anime fandom gather in Birmingham for Ayanext, an anime
convention organised by Anime Central. Hundreds of fans rubbed shoulders
with guests from the world of anime (or at least those bits of it in the
UK) and representatives from three UK anime companies, who were all
promoting their future releases:

ADV Films were handing out flyers listing titles for release in the coming
year. The titles were Airbats 3rd Strike, Bubblegum Crisis 2040, City
Hunter, Dirty Pair Flash Mission 3, Metal Angel Marie, Nadiesco, Original
Dirty Pair, Sakura Wars 2, Street Fighter II V, Takegami 2 & 3, Those That
Hunt Elves and Yotoden 2 & 3. The first of these titles to be released will
by Metal Angel Marie.

MVM also had a flyer listing their forthcoming titles. The important news
is that most of the list is material not previously available in the UK.
On the list were Kimagure Orange Road (OAVs and first movie), Oh! My
Goddess, Robotech II: The Sentinals, Spirit of Wonder, Urusei Yatsura (OVAs
and movies) and You're Under Arrest.

Manga Entertainment did not reveal any new titles, but confirmed that they
are working on a Perfect Blue DVD to be released in March 2000.
