Kiseki plan anime DVDs
======================

A 'phone call to Kiseki Films has confirmed the rumour - they are planning
to release some of their titles on DVD format. However, no official
annoucement has been made yet, so details are unavailable.

MVM set to expand
=================

I've also been on the 'phone to MVM. Possible future releases include more
titles previously available through Anime Projects such as Urusei
Yatsura and Oh My Goddess, plus they hope to release other Animeigo
productions that have not been released in the UK such as Kimagure Orange
Road (the OAVs and first movie) and You're Under Arrest.

Manga Entertainment Press Release
=================================

[I have not reported FotNS press releases before because I have been off
 Manga's mailing list for a while]

                    Fist of the North Star - Volume Six
                              Life or Death

          At the End of the Wilderness Lies the First Street of Hell

Volume 6 of the legendary TV series sees Kenshiro approaching Southern
Cross, Shin's stronghold in the hills. Months in the desert have taken
their toll but he is no mood for his half brother's thugs.

On orders from Shin, Joker summons the rival Snake and Scorpion gangs to
arrest Kenshiro's slow but steady advance. Although feared throughout the
land, their hatred for each other renders them useless against a Hukuto
Shinken master and the ranks spilt. Baron (leader of the Scorpions) asks
Kenshiro to assist them against the Snake gang, who agrees but drops out at
the last minute, letting the two forces destroy each other.

Shin has failed again and summons his remaining forces to the castle. The
wanderer with the seven stars has beaten everything sent against hirn, a
fact that's vividly illustrated by Barcom's (Shin's Chief General)
flashbacks. The North Star draws nearer day-by-day and a means of defeating
his deadly fighting style must be found.

Adapted from the legendary manga (comic book), Hukuto no Ken (Fist of the
North Star) was first televised in 1984. Although violent, even for
Japanese standards, the premise of Ken's quest for justice struck a strong
chord with audiences and became a big hit.
