                            ARMITAGE III - THE MOVIE 

Pioneer Anime have finally put their stylish Bladerunner-esque series, Armitage 
III, into feature film format with the voices of Kiefer Sutherland and
Elizabeth Berkley. Armitage III, the story of a cyber-punk cop in hot pants
with an attitude as deadly as her gun emerged as one of Pioneer Anime's most
successful series when it was first released in the UK about two years ago, and
this is the long awaited film version. 

Armitage III - The Movie is set in 2179: Mars has been colonized by Earth,
populated by humans and 'Second Type' robots - robots designed to perform the 
menial tasks humans won't do. Then there are the 'Third Types' - illegal
humanoid robots designed by a nationalist force to look and behave exactly like 
humans - living undetected among the Martian population, until one man, Rene
D'anclaude, declares war on the 'Thirds', starting a massacre in a vow to
destroy them all. That's where Armitage comes in...

                              LODOSS WAR VOLUME ONE 

In a new venture, Pioneer Anime will now be releasing labels other than it's
own, starting with Lodoss War volume 1, and followed by a further five volumes
from other leading production studios. 

Lodoss, the accursed island. Born in battle and baptized in fire, it has seen
wars ravage its kingdoms for thousands of years. Now, an evil beyond any it has
ever faced before is awakening, and a party of six are drawn together to battle
for the future of everything dear to them. Among them: Pam, a young fighter who
lacks experience and is driven by his desire to redeem his father's tarnished
name; Deedlit, a young and haughty elf who is both attracted to the young
fighter and infuriated by his lack of interest; Ghim, a grizzled dwarf warrior
haunted by a personal failure; Etoh, a young priest; Slayn, a skilled magic
user; and Woodchuck, a cynical but good-natured thief. 

Six who barely know each other. Six who must learn to act with a single
purpose. Six who are destined to become heroes as they encounter enemies and 
allies beyond their wildest imaginations. Join the quest - the war for the

                                 IRIA VOLUME ONE 

Iria, like Lodoss War, does not come out of the Pioneer Anime production
studios but from Bandai Visuals and is to be released under the Pioneer Anime 
label in the UK. 

This series is Japanese animation at its best, with great scripts, fantastic
artwork and a soundtrack to match. The story follows the fortunes of bounty
hunter Iria who, with the help of her brother Glenn and their partner Bob, goes
to the aid of a floundering spaceship. Here they encounter the evil Zeiram who
is feared in every corner of the galaxy and exists only to kill and destroy. 

Glenn is killed, but his voice is heard throughout the series to guide Iria in
key moments, giving Iria hope that he may still be alive. 

Iria is determined to find the truth about their mission and why, according to 
bent official records, it never existed. In her quest she encounters all manner
of weird and wonderful beings...
