24th September 1995
* * CORRECTION * *
There was a major error in the 3rd September bulletin. The Patlabor 2 screenings have
NOT been put off. The dates are as originally reported - 26th, 27th and 29th of September.
My sincere apologies - the brain cells responsible have been severely disciplined
and have promised not to do it again.
More Kiseki info
Mock-up sleaves for the new batch of Kiseki releases arrived this week:
Sol Bianca 1 & 2: "SOL BIANCA a space pirate, travels on his space ship with his five
sisters...". Something tells me, the blurb writer hasn't actually watched the tape! Sol Bianca is the
name of the ship the girls travel in, and their not sisters! Nice covers otherwise. Subtitled
/ 15 certificates / 55 and 45 minutes.
Digital Devil: I haven't heard of this one. Looks like your standard "boy meets girl,
demon attacks girl, boy kicks demon butt" story. Subtitled / 18 certificate / 50 minutes.
The Cockpit: "Leiji Matsumoto presents..." - i.e. he didn't actually have anything to do
with the production of the OAVs. Not to worry - "directed and written by Yoshiaki Kawajiri" - a change
from his usual fare (Ninja Scroll, Wicked City, etc.). Three war stories in typical Matsumoto
style. Subtitled / 15 certificate / 70 minutes.
